Feeding Cattle Adds Balance to the Cow-calf Operation

Staying connected in the beef business is important, but is it worth retaining ownership? "The cattle business is very dynamic, so it is very easy to get lost in the shuffle. The facts are seldom our own and actually may be slightly biased at times by someone having a quick change of expression or a shift in body language," says Kris Ringwall, North Dakota State University Beef Specialist.

We are here to work for you.

The Farmers Ranchers Coop is committed to being a business partner with our patrons, efficiently providing product, services and expertise that enhance the profitability of our member owners. We continue to expand our product lines and services. The partnership we formed with Dr. Angie Nielsen has been very beneficial for many of our patrons. If you have not met Dr. Angie, now is the time to do so. She is very dedicated to the welfare of your animals and the profitability of your operation. If you have any questions in regards to branding vaccinations, prescription drugs, artificial insemination, semen evaluation, equine vaccinations, chiropractics, or dentals, give Dr. Angie a call at 402-322-1197.

All three feed locations carry a large variety of products needed for branding, artificial insemination, prescription drugs, and equine products. Due to the time of order and the quantity we ordered, we have some great deals on Fluvac Innovator 5, West Nile, and EWT West Nile. If we don’t carry a product or are out of stock, please ask, almost all products can be ordered in by the next day.

Did you know Farmers Ranchers Coop carries a large supply of fencing material in all three locations? We stock Julian Lumber’s southern yellow pine, creosote treated, line posts, corner posts, and poles. We also carry 1.33 5 ½, 6, and 6 ½ foot t-posts. All t-posts come with free clips. Other miscellaneous items include; staples, gate levers, goldenrod stretchers, gloves, anchors, and stays. We also stock a large inventory of electric fence products. Gallagher is the brand. They have a very good warranty and stand behind their products. If you have any questions, please feel free to give one of us a call, we will be glad to help you.

Outside you will see we carry the Sioux Steel Co. gates, panels, and livestock equipment. Sioux Steel has been making some of the old Hi-Qual style products for us. These gates and panels are the best in the business. Very well constructed and made to last. They also make the tombstone bull feeder. This round bale hay feeder is tuff. Stop by and take a look. The newest product of Sioux Steel is the post pounder. We are going to demonstrate the post pounder at the Bassett Hay Expo Wednesday June 16th from 11:00am to 4:00pm. They tell me they can pound a railroad tie into hard ground. I’m thinking keep your fingers back and watch your toes.

The Farmers Ranchers Coop makes a quality line of minerals. We stock Triangle 12, 8-16, 8-16 CTC, Chelated Breeder, High Mag, 6-12, and R1200. We also make custom minerals.
